What happens when art stops simply representing the world and starts intervening in it?

School of Artivism Brno is a three-day programme connecting artivism, civic engagement, creative activism, and public space. Through workshops, discussion, practical exercises, and collective experimentation, we will explore how artistic practices can become tools for understanding society, building communities, and creating change.

From the environmental movements of the 1960s and 1970s to the Theatre of the Oppressed, sociological inquiry, situationism, happenings, performance, and community organising, the programme brings together different approaches to activism and artistic practice.
